We are nature loving sisters who grew up on a gravel road near Weippe Idaho...
As toddlers we watched grandma Venna do magic with her sewing machine in the form of square dance clothes, doll clothes, coats, etc., then in 4-H we developed our own skills. We've grown to love a good challenge and that includes working with natural fibers.
Renee has many interests outside of our business: web developer(including this site), teacher, gardener, chicken owner, truck driver and especially, grandma.
Danette does PR, schedules events & meetings, belly dance teacher & performer, mastermind group Vision board workshops and women's transformative events.
Where we started: Danette: in 2006 my daughters and I were volunteering at a small thrift shop in Deary Idaho when we notice them throwing out trash bags of unsellable jeans. We asked to take some home where we took in the challenge of 'What can we do with these?'
We brought in my Sis, Renee and asked her the same thing. We came up with bags, purses, book covers, blankets, aprons, skirts, rice bags ,door stops, throws, and so much more!
We sold a few things at local markets.
Life happens with divorce, moving, career changes, etc,
In 2017 we created Wildly Wearable Coats and more by Where Sisters Create. All of us are still involved plus more have joined in. My daughters are very supportive with ideas, suggestions and as models. Sis & I design and craft each item from our home studios.
Most photo shoots end up being a party. Kayla Sanders is our amazing photographer. Our models are friends who are willing to brave the elements & often hike to a certain location. They are Stacie, Cat, Kathleen, Robbie, Jackie & Cheryl, plus others when they can make it. ~Danette
We evolved into jean jackets and coats and then we added sweater tops & coats, then T-shirt tops & dresses, etc.
